For over four decades I have been a rail and bus photographer.
However, during this time I have aimed the lens at other subjects, be they different transportation, scenery, buildings and other bollocks.
Given these do not really fit the scope of my other sites, I felt compelled to set up a new site so as to inflict my other photographic garbage upon the world. While primarily Philippine and Australian content, there will be the occasional forays into Fiji and Hong Kong. Perhaps other locations should the current pandemic ever allow it.
So sit back and enjoy, or hate, even be indifferent. That choice is purely up to you.
The Commonwealth Market in Quezon City, Manila, is one of the notable markets in the area known for its size and large variety of goods.
It is situated in Quezon City, along a thoroughfare of the same name, a major city within Metro Manila, the capital region of the Philippines.
Commonwealth Market offers a range of goods including fresh produce, meats, seafood, dry goods, clothing, household items, and local delicacies. It caters to both everyday shoppers and wholesale buyers.
This little photographic adventure didn’t turn out quite as I’d hoped.
For a milestone birthday, my wife treated me to three days at Pasay Road to capture jeepneys and trains through my lens. I was eagerly looking forward to it, especially with the Philippine National Railways winding down operations (yes, I know they’re calling it “temporarily suspended”) and the future of the iconic jeepney looking increasingly uncertain.
While I managed to photograph both sufficiently, the experience was overshadowed by two unpleasant encounters: a PNR security guard who seemed to think his authority extended beyond the station and onto public roads, and a furious local woman whose swearing could rival a sailor's. These incidents completely soured the trip.
With PNR now gone, it’s hard to find a reason to return to what was once a regular spot for me.

The 'Jeepney 3000 Project' continues with a selection of Jeepneys plying their trade around the Makati area towards the Pasay Road railway station.
A great variety of jeepneys were to be seen, including a couple of traditional ones of a design that would be more at home in Iloilo City.
