Despite many trips to the Philippines, even numerous visits to the locale of Baclaran (mostly for shopping purposes), this is the only time I visited this area for a look at some unusual looking transport vehicles.
Amongst the more common jeepney, were some equally colourful beasts that I have randomly referred to as jeepneys, big jeepneys, minibuses, and baby buses.
On talking to the incredibly knowledgeable Rodd Cameron today, I learnt that their numbers have dwindled greatly since the PITX terminal opened, and that it is believed that only two are still operating as of the time I put this together. The rest now being in storage.
Rodd was also able to confirm my belief that they were mostly used from the here to areas headed towards Cavite, adding that they were also used as shuttle buses in the 'Cavite EPZA Industrial Park'.

The following collection of photos show a number of these interesting 'Baby Buses', as well as other buses and jeepneys of the time that happened to pass by.

As mentioned above, the MALTC bus operator was undergoing a significant upgrade of their fleet.
I loved these old Nissans, but their time was near an end. They can be found in other posts on the site.
