For our latest adventure, Virls kindly offered to join me for a long desired visit to the 'Black Diamond Museum Heritage Centre' at the Bulli railway station.
Our last Illawarra adventure, the earlier featured Kiama trip, saw us pass the lookout in the hugely thick fog that's very typical of the area. This time it was cool, but sunny, so the opportunity was taken to stop and take it all in.
Bulli Lookout is a scenic viewpoint located in Bulli, a suburb of Wollongong in New South Wales, Australia.
It offers stunning panoramic views of the Illawarra coastline, the Pacific Ocean, and the surrounding areas. The lookout is situated on the Illawarra Escarpment, providing a vantage point to appreciate the natural beauty of the region.
For what it's worth, the museum visit will appear on this blog in the near future, while most of the rail content seen on the day will appear on my main 'Semi-Retired Foamer Blog'.

There is no doubting that the view from Bulli Lookout is truly spectacular. This is looking southwards.

The lookout area was a bicentennial project of the Bulli Rotary Club.

Look Virls, time to make a wish and have it ignored by the well gods again.

As cash becomes less and less common, chucking in coins is going to become a thing of the past.
Virl shows us the modern day way to donate money for a wish. The credit card. 😜😝

Above and Below.
This is pretty self-explanatory, though neither of us were able to see the mentioned inscription.

Some interesting signage about the area.
There are a few lookouts in the area and hopefully we will return later to cover them all.

At my age, these installations are always handy.
It is very well maintained as well.

We are still waiting on the Well God to make the wishes come true. 😢😭

OK, I know your initial response to the idea of mustard flavoured ice-cream, with pickles and bacon bits, is probably going to be the same as mine.
Egad man, how does that even become a thing. Eeekk.
But Virls was excited to get them for us to try.
Not being the sort of person to want to let her down, we drove on south to the Fairy Meadow Pizza Hut.
This is the Patrick ice-cream, there is also a Spongebob version which is a mix of pineapple and coconut, both coming in quite a decent size.
I think I speak for both of us when rating the Patrick one a easy 10 out of 10. Sounds vile, tastes awesome.

Nobody in particular.
Maybe the Pizza Hut cashier.

I recently attended a funeral which suggested morning dress as suitable attire. I was the only attendee wearing a dressing gown over pyjamas.
