For over four decades I have been a rail and bus photographer.
However, during this time I have aimed the lens at other subjects, be they different transportation, scenery, buildings and other bollocks.
Given these do not really fit the scope of my other sites, I felt compelled to set up a new site so as to inflict my other photographic garbage upon the world.
While primarily Philippine and Australian content, there will be the occasional forays into Fiji and Hong Kong. Perhaps other locations should the current pandemic ever allow it.
So sit back and enjoy, or hate, even be indifferent. That choice is purely up to you.

PHILIPPINE BUS ALBUM 1999-2023 - PART 4

Philippine Bus Album 1999 Till Today.

From a young age, I’ve been fascinated with buses and trains, a passion that naturally extended to the Philippines during my first visit in 1999. Since then, I’ve returned 14 times, capturing countless photographs of the diverse transportation landscape.

Given the sheer volume of images, I often find it overwhelming to share them all on social media. I've launched an occasional series here on my travel blog to keep the enthusiasm alive (and maybe entertain a few others along the way).

Over the past decade, the bus hobby in the Philippines has flourished, reflecting the vibrant variety of bus operators and models that traverse the islands.

It's a captivating journey worth documenting!

For some reason, possibly a ride from Legaspi to Manila in 2007, I have long had Raymond as my favourite provincial operator.
I'm not exactly sure where EVV-720 was taken, but it was somewhere to the north of Sipocot as we continued our journey north along the re MAC Liner bus.

MAC Liner NVC-821 was a classic old banger. I came across it quite by chance while the brother in law was driving through Marikina.
A quick call to him to stop, allowed me to get out, meet the bus driver, and get a few shots of this oldie which we think was originally one of the 'Manila Railroad' fleet.

Got to have a look inside the above MAC Liner bus.
Those wooden seats would have been just a little more uncomfortable than Cebu Pacific ones on longer flights.

Bobis Liner EVG-202 passing through the same location.
This section of the AH-26 through here has some outstanding photographic opportunities.

AB Liner DXJ-999 passing through Candelaria.
This busy location was a great spot to stop for something to eat and get the endless buses.
Two years later a bypass road opened, so I'm unsure how this has affected the amount of traffic through the middle of town. Though you would imagine most buses still go this way for any patronage on offer.

JAM PYJ-531 bound for Lucena and in the same Candelaria location.

Candelaria local looking like she disapproves of Raymond TXZ-560.
Same bus below, but without the disapproving looks :-)
